Audio Meditation #2

In Loving Kindness meditation, or Metta, we repeat a series of simple phrases that offer an intention of kindness, of friendship, of goodwill. This is a timeless practice from the Buddhist tradition, and it awakens within us our natural state of compassion and equanimity. The beautiful thing is that we don’t have to try and make compassion and goodwill happen. These feeling states are a result of the practice. The natural force of compassion and goodwill want to arise within us. The practice is the invitation these feelings need to come forth.
